XV, Viseu esteve desprotegida, tendo na fortifica\u00e7\u00e3o da colina da S\u00e9 o seu \u00fanico ref\u00fagio. Ao longo da hist\u00f3ria a cidade foi fustigada por diversas invas\u00f5es que semearam o p\u00e2nico e destrui\u00e7\u00e3o na cidade e levaram \u00e0 constru\u00e7\u00e3o da cerca da cidade, que durou 70 anos.
